TGIF Post: The Times Square Dunk Me Campaign [VIDEO]

Hi Everybody!

Friday is here and you know what that means! It’s time for a TGIF post.

You know how we usually share videos about cool Below-The-Line marketing ideas that apply gamification concepts to strengthen the engagement with the brands?

Well, those ideas often need the services of Billboard companies like Clear Channel. They are the kind of business that definitely benefits from this trend of media interacting with pedestrians. They wanted to show advertisers how much engagement you can get with the right execution… so they just did it… a campaign for themselves. They actually based the whole thing (a very successful social media campaign) in one of their billboards on Times Square.

Meet the Times Square Dunk Me campaign. Watch the clip here and, as always, feel free to send us your comments.

TGIF Post: Streetpong. Playful Urban Interactions. [VIDEO]

Hello Everybody! Welcome to another TGIF Post!

Today we have more than just a funny video. This week we bumped into an amazing concept that exemplifies the benefits of gamification.

You know how at CRMGamified® we are all about making work fun to encourage user adoption, but gamification is not just about that: it’s about being happier with your life, less annoyed with everyday tasks. Today we’d like to tip of our hat to Streetpong.

What is Streetpong? Well, let their website explain the concept

The starting point was the problem of waiting for a long time at pedestrian traffic lights. StreetPong can be played during the red phase at traffic light on a touchscreen display. The opponent can be anyone on the other side of the street who is also waiting to cross the street.

And finally here’s our TGIF video:

TGIF Post: The Smart Eball Campaign [VIDEO]

Hi Everybody. Here comes Friday! And, of course, we have another TGIF post for you!

Today we have anothe great example of the persuasive power of fun. This time, our TGIF clip comes from an ad campaign for the Electric Smart car.

The advertisers wanted to show how the Smart is on the fun side of things, but they also wanted to let people experience the acceleration of the electric smart to counter some of the negative associations of these cars (ie: lack of horse power).

Now, we really loved this one because it’s a perfect example of how people will be open to try and learn new stuff if you let them have fun.

TGIF Post: Condom08, A Mobile App That Gamifies SEX! [VIDEO]

Hi Everybody! Another Friday, another TGIF post!

Today we’d like to share a clip from a very interesting ad campaign designed to promote safe sex among young people in Stockholm. 50,000 free condoms were handed out. Each condom had a unique QR Code which was used to install a mobile app.

What does the app do? Well, emm.. Well.. I guess there’s no other way to say it: it gamifies sex!

TGIF Post: The Contrexpérience Campaign [VIDEO]

Hi Everybody!

Well, here’s what we’d like to think of as a typical Friday post. A “TGIF post”, if you will. A space for the funny gamification-related videos we casually find every now and then.

This week we’d like to share a couple of funny clips that are part of an advertising campaign for the French mineral water Contrex that targets women. It is not really about Gamification in the traditional sense, but it’s about making an activity (workout) fun and rewarding the participants.

Hope you have a great weekend!
